Student AI use has become one of the most significant threats to learning in the college classroom, but AI checkers are unreliable and erode trust between students and teachers. During this session, learn tactics for addressing unethical AI use, including the use of Google Backdraft to verify the student writing process, teaching students ethical AI use (including citation), and writing AI-proof writing prompts.
During this session, attendees will review the basics of their course Canvas shells (including the syllabus, grades, and assignments) and learn pro-tips for using these basic elements in Canvas. This session will also include lots of work time to implement ideas, ask questions, work with peers, and get one-on-one help.
